Protect your Environment. Make it obvious!!!
"Protect your Environment. Make it obvious!!!", a youth exchange with 8 different EU countries that was implemented in May by TDM 2000 International in Kasmu, in the Northern of Estonia. The project brought together 40 youngsters and 6 group leaders for 7 days of activities on topic of environment protection, sustainable development and art.The main focus has been environmental protection and the empowerment of youngsters giving them space to explore environmental issues with particular emphasis on the concept of sustainable development.Through the planned activities, the group had also chance to share best practices and information about their countries, creating actions to make the respect for the environment obvious, now that they are back home as follow up of the project. Planned interactive workshops showed to the group how many aspects we have in common and took them to understand those that make us different, learning how to get benefit out of it instead of seeing them as obstacles. Getting in touch with each other, participants opened their minds and perspective about Europe and European values promoting mutual understanding through the concept of identity, different cultures and traditions having a first concrete step on intercultural learning.
