European Week of Sport

Do you know the annual event of the European Week of Sport? Every year from 23 to 30 September, this initiative launched by the European Commission promotes more active, healthier lifestyles to millions of people in Europe and beyond. The European Week of Sport was launched in 2015 to respond to the growing crisis of inactivity. Participation in sports and physical activities plays a vital role in enhancing the well-being of European citizens. Unfortunately, the levels of physical activity are either plateauing or decreasing in certain countries. Irrespective of our backgrounds or occupations, even modest increments in regular physical activity can significantly influence our overall long-term health. The primary purpose of the Week is to heighten awareness about the crucial role an active lifestyle plays for everyone. The European Week of Sport wants to give people around Europe and across the world a springboard into being active. How to Participate:
