Our new project of the Action 4.6 has been approved. Its name is The “Prince, Merchant and Citizen as one: CSR in Europe” and it is an admittedly ambitious project that aims to promote socially responsible policies from the side of key decision-makers from both the Public and the Private Sectors. For that intent, this project is set to promote the idea of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as the corporate voluntary manifestation of Active Participation and thus foster and develop positive synergies eventually leading to the establishment of sustainable cooperation partnerships between the Public sector, the Private sector and Civil Society.

The project will re realized from 1st May 2012 to 1st October 2013.

The planned activities – to be implemented in Istanbul (Turkey), Porto (Portugal), Wroclaw (Poland) and Cagliari (Italy) – will actively involve an extremely diverse roll of partners coming from different sectors, such as regional authorities, municipalities, training institutions, civil society actors and enterprises. Predominantly dealing with the topics of CSR and Cooperation in the Youth Field, the project intends to directly include over 1.000 young people in its activities both at local and international levels, and to boost its impact on to many other stakeholders thanks to the envisaged multiplier effect.

Furthermore, this project is expected to create a structure for youth empowerment, in which youngsters gain competences, ability, authority and agency to make decisions and implement change in their own lives and in the conducts of other individuals or organizations. In this sense, young people will participate and lead a venture with high visibility at European level, organizing highly participated events (such as Conferences, Workshops and Seminars) and developing publications (v.g., website and booklet) that will remain as guides of best practices available to be freely used in other contexts.
