Cagliari, 2-3 of September 2010
In the beginning of autumn the preparatory team of the Study Session (SS) “1 step in, 1000 steps forward towards intercultural learning. Exploring Intercultural Learning and the importance of having facilitators in the international youth work” was hosted in Cagliari by the association TDM 2000 International in order to work out the details of the SS. The SS is co organized with the Council of Europe’s Directory of Youth and Sport (CoE DYS) and educational advisor from CoE DYS was involved and contributed a lot during this preparatory visit.
These two working days were very productive as the team was holding cheerful discussions, sharing experiences, outlining the program of the SS and meanwhile exploring local Sardinian culture and the beauty of Cagliari. By the end of the meeting the preparatory team together with the educational advisor managed to prepare the call for the participants, the aims and the objectives of the SS, designed the flaw of the intercultural program, set the deadlines, etc.
In a few days the call will be released and we are already looking forward to receive applications from young people from all around Europe. And so if you are interested in exploring Intercultural Context and deepening competences to facilitate the ICL in your youth work reality, then you are more than welcome to apply for this study session and there will be much more to explore for you.
