This youth exchange ultimately aimed to raise awareness about the importance of volunteering and to support the development of civil society organisations in Armenia, Georgia and Russia. It also provided participants with insights on the situation of youth work in countries affected by the European Neighbourhood Policy. During the youth exchange the 36 participants (5 participants and one leader per country) had the chance to interact with peers from different cultural backgrounds in Tsakhkadzor, Armenia, in three different workshops: arts, crafts and photography. Ideas and thoughts on topics, such as volunteering and civil society and its role in the democratisation process, nowadays a crucial issue for the community in Armenia, were discussed and shared. The week ended with a small-scale campaign and exhibition sale in the centre of Yerevan, promoting the concept of volunteering.

The exchange was held from 5th to 13th April 2012 in Tsakhkadzor, Armenia.
