The next European elections will take place in one year, from 6 to 9 June 2024. These elections will be of huge importance for the European Union and for all citizens as they can, by exercising their democratic right to vote, actively participate in shaping our common future. We are committed to support the European Parliament in promoting the communication activities towards the elections.
We will be much more impactful and effective if we embark on this task together the the aim to contribute to increase citizens participation in the democratic process. Synergies among many organisations were successfully created during the 2019 European election campaign, which clearly demonstrated the impact a joint and shared communication effort can have. The significant increase in voter turnout in 2019 served as proof of this successful effort.
In this sense, we invite our members, partners, collaborators and readers to:
- Spread the message about the European elections date and its’ importance to your networks, including staff, members customers or providers.
- Organise your own actions and campaigns to engage in the democratic process.

- Learn more about the latest data from the 2023 Eurobarometer, showing citizens’ strong support for democracy and a high awareness of the upcoming European elections.
- Use the interactive, multilingual, ‘What Europe Does For Me’, created by the European Parliament’s Research Service, which presents hundreds of easy-to-read, one-page documents highlighting the positive impact of the EU on people’s lives.
