Partners from Turkey, Poland, Italy and Portugal came together in Porto to discuss the promotion of social responsibility policies for the public and private sector.Some of the highly interesting ideas developed in Porto include: open air exhibitions, flash mobs, creation of videos and other promotion material, treasure hunts, (Responsible) Entrepreneur Week, the “Bottom-up Solution System”, CSR company awards, visits to “green” companies, a magazine, certificates for participation, e-zone, a videogame, as well as conferences and seminars.
The seminar made participants understand that the idea of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) should not just be promoted via small initiatives that aim to raise awareness. It has become clear that actions at higher instances,right where decisions are made, are crucial and need to be undertaken. As a result, participating partners decided to take immediate action and develop positive synergies with their local policy makers.
