Il titolo dice “All is forgiven”. The Address of Human Rights - Media: creano o riflettono la realtà?

"Operating grants: civil society cooperation" approved

We would like to proudly announce that our application for the operating grant called "Operating grants: civil society cooperation" was approved by European Commission with Erasmus +. Within this project we are going to implement a series of activities at local level , at international level and online. Our working plan includes a variety of activities focusing at empowering young people and youth organisations in general. We have also foreseen a number of activities “on the field”: job shadowing, internships, EVS, exchange of professionals, that will be part of our planned activities to empower the capacity of youth organizations and of youngsters. A series of activities are also devoted to favour the validation and recognition of nonformal learning. We expect to increase the participation of young people and youth organization in mobility projects and in the different programmes offered by the EU in order to favour the acquisition of competences that could make young people more employable, and could stimulate their sense of belonging from the EU and their society, to favour cooperation between the youth field and the others sectors (private and public) and directly or indirectly to empower our network and its members.

The Address of Human Rights - Media4Change e i diritti umani nel giornalismo

The Address of Human Rights - STOP: Rom e Arabi non sono ammessi

The Address of Human Rights - STOP: Rom e Arabi non sono ammessi

“NO, è una serata privata” “NO, il locale è pieno” “NO, il tuo abbigliamento non è adatto” oppure semplicemente “NO”. The Address of Human Rights - Donne in silenzio e la nuova legge in Lituania

The Address of Human Rights - Donne in silenzio e la nuova legge in Lituania

Against Violence in the Immediate Environment” in Lituania. The Address of Human Rights - I diritti dei figli di coppie omosessuali

The Address of Human Rights - Hate speech e responsabilità degli editori

The Address of Human Rights - Hate speech e responsabilità degli editori

The Address of Human Rights – Invito ai redattori

Caring about minorities in YOUth - Wind of Change

04-10-2013

YOUth - Wind of Change is a training course which will be implemented in May. The training will bring together 30 participants from 10 countries. The main theme of project is empowering leadership from different minority groups. There are different factors which determine the participation of youngsters from minorities in community life. Being part of a minority group such as: a young person from a Roma community, a disabled person, a young person belonging to migrant family, a young person from LGBT community etc. in many cases lead to isolation. Within this project we would like to enrich participants with tools to develop their leadership skills in order to motivate them in becoming active local and European citizens. By developing concrete leadership skills for participants (intercultural communication and public speaking, team building, facilitation, conflict management) we will contribute in promotion of equal opportunities and empowerment of minority youth.

We have new projects approved

10-06-2013

We are happy to announce that 2 of our projects have been approved.
"The first one is "Raise a problem, get an answer!", and it's one of the 2 Youth & Democracyprojects (Action 1.3.) that were approved by EACEA on this deadline. It aims to create a platform for the exchange of good ideas about activities that youth can undertake to start a real change in the society they live in by becoming the agent of the change that they want to see in their community. The project will last 17 months and will be implemented in 4 countries (Estonia, Italy, Romania and Lithuania). The Project is also foreseen to experiment with the platform, by starting to collect and upload the contents and materials on the platform so that it can commence working. “Raise a problem, get an answer!” foresees also a visit to the Commissions of the European Parliament with a presentation of the platform and submission of some operative proposals of intervention and identification of certain “problems” of the society.

The second one is "Amplifier: share, evaluate and design the future!”, and it is the only trans-national Youth Seminar (Action 5.1) that was approved by EACEA on this deadline. The project aims at mainstreaming the interests and recommendations of young people, incorporating them into policies and institutional initiatives, remarkably the new European Programme for youth. The seminar will take place after a great deal of preliminary work, including numerous polls, questionnaires, surveys and public consultation developed both online and at local level. Deadline of the 3rd June: the projects applied by the network

03-06-2013

TDM 2000 International has submitted application on the 3rd of June for 2 projects, under the framework of the actions 3.1 and 4.3.

YOUth- Wind of Change is a training course (Action 3.1) which will be implemented from 6 till 13 May 2014. The training will bring together 30 participants from 10 countries. The main theme of project is empowering leadership from different minority groups. There are different factors which determine the participation of youngsters from minorities in community life. Being part of a minority group such as: a young person from a Roma community, a disabled person, a young person belonging to migrant family, a young person from LGBT community etc. in many cases lead to isolation whether social, cultural or educational. Intercultural education will motivate participants to share their knowledge, information and experience in order to act as multipliers on civil society field after the TC . The new youth programme 2014-2020 and other European programmes will be promoted as a tool for inclusion and empowerment of minority youth. Through this TC would like to increase participants sense of entrepreneurship. Non Formal Education will be the methodology of the training course consideration its holistic approach of knowledge, skills and attitudes.

The other project, called “Entrepreneurship: build your future!” ( Action 4.3), is a training course born to attenuate youth unemployment and to help youth leaders from EU organisations in youth field to share and profit from their best experiences. Improving the skills and competences of the participants in the range of youth work and youth entrepreneurship are the main goals of this project, as well as to contribute to the self-development of the individuals themselves and spark an entrepreneurial spirit among young people. It could help to revert the negative trend of a growing youth unemployment in Europe throughout the exchange of good practices and experiences and to spread more information about European programmes which provide youth opportunities in youth work and entrepreneurship. More activities have been planned to reach this aim: simulations, brainstormings, ranking, role playing where youth leaders use creativity, innovation and experience.
The first part of the activities are concentrated to give and share more skills and knowledge about youth work, leadership and entrepreneurship.
The second one is made up in practical activities where the participant try to change an idea in a real business project. The TC will take place in Czech Republic where youth unemployment rate is near the average rate of EU but involve countries where this rate is very low as well as others where this rate is very high. 30 participants will be involved for 8 days in activities where non formal education methods will be used. As a result quality youth projects on youth employment will be developed by partner organisations, young persons’ ideas will emerge and for their proper implementation, sustainable partnership will be established.

Mid Term Evaluation Meeting

03-02-2013

The Mid-term Evaluation Meeting of the international project “Prince, Merchant and Citizen as one: CSR in Europe” was held in Cagliari on 3rd February 2013.

The team, made up by the representative of the Italian, Polish and Portuguese partners, met in the fascinating framework of the Harbor of Cagliari, in the TDM 2000’s front office, that hosted the event. The Turkish Partner unfortunately could not take part to the Meeting, but sent us a brief report about the local activities carried out in Turkey.

Thank to the report made by each partner, we benefited from the insights and advice of the colleagues, that helped us to better understand the approaches they used at the local level. Hence, the partners described the activities organized in their own communities and analyzed the diverse ways they chose to address the subject: CSR management, being an extremely rich topic with a plenty of aspects to be considered, allows the partners to freely choose the kind of activities to organize and the different forms of involvement of the local communities, as well as the local partners.

The features of the single action undertaken by each partner were explored in details, to understand if some of them could be replied in the other realities: some activities organized in Portugal and in Poland and in Italy, to promote effective integration policies between the private and the third sector, has been inspiring for further developments.

During the Meeting we focused also on the visibility strategy, the steps to be undertaken to create the white book of CSR, as the output to be produced in the upcoming international appointments of the project.

Besides the working moments, the team had the chance to share opinions and learn from each other during a typical Sardinian lunch.

In the end, we recorded some small interviews with the impressions of the participants about the Meeting.

We expect to improve the experience gained till now, conceiving and sharing project ideas together and providing examples of the tools as well as the methods which may be used for the development of such CSR projects in the future. read more...

CRS in Europe goes further

03-10-2012

Partners from Turkey, Poland, Italy and Portugal came together in Porto to discuss the promotion of social responsibility policies for the public and private sector. Some of the highly interesting ideas developed in Porto include: open air exhibitions, flash mobs, creation of videos and other promotion material, treasure hunts, (Responsible) Entrepreneur Week, the “Bottom-up Solution System”, CSR company awards, visits to “green” companies, a magazine, certificates for participation, e-zone, a videogame, as well as conferences and seminars.

The seminar made participants understand that the idea of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) should not just be promoted via small initiatives that aim to raise awareness. It has become clear that actions at higher instances, right where decisions are made, are crucial and need to be undertaken. As a result, participating partners decided to take immediate action and develop positive synergies with their local policy makers. Thus, aiming to establish a sustainable cooperation between NGOs, as well as the public and private sector that will lead decision makers to include CSR in their political agenda.read more...

Prince, Merchant and Citizen as one: CSR in Europe approved!

29-02-2012
Prince, Merchant and Citizen as one: CSR in EuropePartnerships
Istanbul (Turkey), Porto (Portugal), Wroclaw (Poland), Cagliari (Italy)

Our new project of the Action 4.6 has been approved. Its name is The "Prince, Merchant and Citizen as one: CSR in Europe" and it is an admittedly ambitious project that aims to promote socially responsible policies from the side of key decision-makers from both the Public and the Private Sectors. For that intent, this project is set to promote the idea of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as the corporate voluntary manifestation of Active Participation and thus foster and develop positive synergies eventually leading to the establishment of sustainable cooperation partnerships between the Public sector, the Private sector and Civil Society.

The project will re realized from 1st May 2012 to 1st October 2013.

The planned activities - to be implemented in Istanbul (Turkey), Porto (Portugal), Wroclaw (Poland) and Cagliari (Italy) - will actively involve an extremely diverse roll of partners coming from different sectors, such as regional authorities, municipalities, training institutions, civil society actors and enterprises. Predominantly dealing with the topics of CSR and Cooperation in the Youth Field, the project intends to directly include over 1.000 young people in its activities both at local and international levels, and to boost its impact on to many other stakeholders thanks to the envisaged multiplier effect.

Furthermore, this project is expected to create a structure for youth empowerment, in which youngsters gain competences, ability, authority and agency to make decisions and implement change in their own lives and in the conducts of other individuals or organizations. In this sense, young people will participate and lead a venture with high visibility at European level, organizing highly participated events (such as Conferences, Workshops and Seminars) and developing publications (v.g., website and booklet) that will remain as guides of best practices available to be freely used in other contexts.

Two applications submitted!

13-02-2012

TDM 2000 International has submitted 2 applications for 2 new projects.

The first one is a Youth Exchange "Picturing a Volunteer World - From Vision to Video". The venue of the exchange will be Kaunas, in Lithuania. The matter of exclusion and discrimination is nowadays more than ever of great importance in Lithuania, a country where the increasing of social differentiation started to represent a problem straight after its independence. Different programs have been implemented in order to face the marginalization and exclusion of certain categories of the society, but the issue is still very hot especially between young people. Kaunas is a university city, with many active youngsters that live together but often don't find the ways to interact. With our project, we wish to have a positive impact on the local community, giving space to an efficient cooperation between youngsters from different cultures. We chose to implement the project in Lithuania also to give the possibility to our partners of TDM 2000 Lithuania Trio to experience to host a YE, helping them in building the capacity of their members and their organization as a whole.

  • TDM 2000 Lithuania Trio (Lithuania)
  • HelloEuropa Youth, Cultural and Social Association (Hungary)
  • TDM 2000 Estonia
  • Associazione TDM 2000 (Italy)
  • Nadácia Krajina Harmónie (Slovakia)
  • Association Pro Futuro (Latvia)
  • European Institute Pro Futuro Europae (Poland)
  • ALINHAS? Associação Desportiva Juvenil (Portugal)

The second is a TC called "Genderalizing: management of diversity in gender" that should take place in Poland, Krakow.
It will create a non-formal space for exploring and discussing gender issues, and analyzing the diverse manners how the related subjects are treated in our countries and in the European space in general. Hence, we envisage to create an environment where youngsters can discover, reflect and debate about topics such as gender equality, sexual-based discrimination, homosexuality or the role of women.
We find this topic to be extremely connected to the host country, one marked by traditional religious-oriented values of family and, notably, the idea of "woman-mother", but on the other hand a pioneer since it is one of the few countries where homosexuality has never been illegal. We will then explore the features of the European Strategy for equality between women and men 2010-2015 and strive to discover what can and shall be done in order raise awareness for the importance of the conflict-ridden topic of gender equality and gender stereotypes.
Afterwards, thanks to the choice over non-formal education methods, we intend to actively involve the participants in the diverse working moments, sharing opinions, cooperating amongst themselves, learning from each other and ultimately conceiving project ideas together. Hence, we expect to generate an experience of great personal and professional growth with significant development of skills and competences that promote and facilitate the preparation and realization of projects and activities, at international or local level, on gender issues by providing examples of the tools as well as the methods which may be used for the realization of such projects.

Plus we had the pleasure to welcome a participant from Ghana, who has been with us for most of the sessions!

The participants together underwent a learning path through a number of non-formal learning methods, from getting to know each other, to understanding who they are and their identities to tackling various aspects of ICL. In a safe space, the participants had the occasion to give their opinions and views on the subject through their experiences and beliefs whilst challenging notions dealing with the matter. Moreover the participants were also given the opportunity to create and facilitate their own workshop on ICL and also to brainstorm together and set the foundations for the creation of new projects.

The study session was run by 6 experienced facilitators; Ivana Davidovska (from CID), Gianluca Massimiliano Frongia (from TDM 2000), Stefan Manevski (from CID), Marish Manucharyan (from JEF Armenia), Angelica Perra (from TDM 2000) and Nadine Amouri-Bajja (from the Council of Europe), who applied their different methods in order to give the participants a more global approach to ICL.

We would like to thank the Council of Europe for funding this study session and ultimately all the participants and facilitators for their contribution and involvement in the project, for expressing their ideas and for sharing their skills. All these factors combined, ultimately, enabled the success of this project and which certainly opened a doorway to a number of future co operations.

Preparation meeting of Study Session “1 step in, 1000 steps forward towards intercultural learning. Exploring Intercultural Learning and the importance of having facilitators in the international youth work”

Cagliari, 2-3 of September 2010

In the beginning of autumn the preparatory team of the Study Session (SS) “1 step in, 1000 steps forward towards intercultural learning. Exploring Intercultural Learning and the importance of having facilitators in the international youth work” was hosted in Cagliari by the association TDM 2000 International in order to work out the details of the SS. The SS is co organized with the Council of Europe’s Directory of Youth and Sport (CoE DYS) and educational advisor from CoE DYS was involved and contributed a lot during this preparatory visit.

These two working days were very productive as the team was holding cheerful discussions, sharing experiences, outlining the program of the SS and meanwhile exploring local Sardinian culture and the beauty of Cagliari. By the end of the meeting the preparatory team together with the educational advisor managed to prepare the call for the participants, the aims and the objectives of the SS, designed the flaw of the intercultural program, set the deadlines, etc.

In a few days the call will be released and we are already looking forward to receive applications from young people from all around Europe. And so if you are interested in exploring Intercultural Context and deepening competences to facilitate the ICL in your youth work reality, then you are more than welcome to apply for this study session and there will be much more to explore for you.
